Skip the $100 branded card. Use a $10 NFC sticker.
Branded NFC business cards typically run $30-150 for a plastic card with a chip inside. We don’t sell physical cards — shipping plastic isn’t our business. But the chip doing the actual work? It’s a $1 sticker on Amazon. Here’s how to do it yourself.
A 10-pack of NTAG215 NFC tags runs ~$10 on Amazon. Search for "NTAG215 NFC Tags" — any seller with 4+ stars works.
Free app for iPhone + Android. Search "NFC Tools" in the App Store or Play Store (blue icon with an N).
Open NFC Tools → Write → Add a record → URL. Paste your opsvaulttech.io/card/yourname link.
App says "Written." Done. Peel the sticker, put it on the back of your phone case, your laptop, your actual business card — anywhere.
Why we don’t do the physical card thing: shipping plastic is a logistics business with thin margins and slow fulfillment times — common complaints across the category. A sticker on your existing phone case works just as well. We’d rather make the tool free and let you keep the $80 difference.
Make your card feel like an app.
Install your card to your phone’s home screen and it behaves like a real app — icon on your home grid, opens in full screen, works offline, shares in one tap from the lock screen. No App Store, no download, no sign-up.
- 1Open your card URL in Safari (not Chrome or another browser — iOS only allows install from Safari).
- 2Tap the Share button at the bottom of Safari (the square with an arrow pointing up).
- 3Scroll down in the share sheet and tap “Add to Home Screen.”
- 4Tap Add in the top right. Your card icon lands on your home screen instantly.
- 1Open your card URL in Chrome.
- 2Look for the “Add to Home Screen” button that appears on the card itself — tap it.
- 3If it doesn’t show up: tap the three-dot menu in the top right of Chrome, then “Add to Home screen.”
- 4Confirm the name and tap Add. Done.
Pro tip: Install your OWN card on your home screen too. Instead of fumbling for your website URL when someone asks “send me your info,” it’s one tap to open → one tap to share → done. Your card becomes the fastest intro you have.
